Camping at the Kinneret (a.k.a. The Sea of Galilee)

The weekend of Yom Kippur we had a four day weekend so I joined seven of my classmates and a friend of one of theirs from home and went to northeast Israel. We spent the first night just north of the Kinneret at Yehudiya (I don't have any pictures of the campground) where the next morning we hiked a beautiful slot canyon... part of the hike required swimming the trail... we had a great time! We spent the second night right on the Kinneret which was also beautiful but not quite as mystical as my mind had somehow built it up to be... there were lots of windsurfers and parasailers...

Group at the start of our slot canyon hike.
